Terms of service

Matthew Workspace MCP. Last updated 13 September 2026.

1. The application

Matthew Workspace MCP is a private Model Context Protocol server operated by Matthew Cowan on his own computer, connecting an AI assistant to his own Google account.

2. Who may use it

Use is limited to Matthew Cowan. The application is not offered, licensed, sold or made available to anyone else. No third party is invited or permitted to authorise it against another Google account.

3. Authorisation

The application acts only with access explicitly granted through Google's OAuth consent flow, and only within the scopes granted. Authorisation may be withdrawn at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections, which stops all further access.

4. Data handling

Data handling is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

5. Underlying software

The application is the open-source google_workspace_mcp project, used under the MIT licence. The MIT licence's warranty disclaimer applies to that software.

6. No warranty

The application is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It may be changed, suspended or withdrawn at any time without notice.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for any loss or damage arising from use of the application. Because the sole user is also the operator, this allocation of risk is between Matthew Cowan and himself.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia.
