A private, single-user integration between Matthew Cowan's own AI assistant and his own Google account.
Matthew Workspace MCP is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. It runs on a computer owned and operated by Matthew Cowan, and it lets an AI assistant working on his behalf read and write data in his own Google Workspace services: Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs and Google Sheets.
Typical use is ordinary personal and professional administration: finding an email, drafting a reply, checking a calendar, reading a document, updating a spreadsheet.
One person: Matthew Cowan. The application is not distributed, not offered as a service, and has no other users. It holds no accounts and accepts no sign-ups. It is published as an unverified application only because Google requires a publishing status of "In production" for authorisation to persist beyond a short test window.
On a single personal computer. The server connects directly to Google's APIs using Matthew Cowan's own OAuth client credentials. It sends no data to any other server, and there is no hosted backend, analytics or telemetry.
The server is the open-source google_workspace_mcp project, MIT licensed, published at github.com/taylorwilsdon/google_workspace_mcp. It is run unmodified.
